John Hamilton Lusk
Architect, President

Mr. Lusk is an experienced architect and president of JHL/Tecture, AE, P.C. He has over 30 years of experience in the fields of new building design, building restoration, historic preservation urban master planning and development, and commercial facilities. Mr. Lusk had managed over 200 architectural projects. He brings a complete package of architectural experience with emphasis on facility analysis, facility planning, facility programming, and master planning as well as the essential community empathy.

Quentin Castle
Project Manager, Designer
Hornell, NY Office
Mr. Castle has 28 years of architectural experience, 4 years self-employed, 7 years for Stantec (formally Sear-Brown), and 17 years for JHL Tecture A.E., P.C. He has been responsible for the administration, design, and implementation of a variety of project types from schematic design through the construction documents and construction phase. His typical project involvement includes programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, as well as construction administration.

Chris Cloutier
Designer, Marketing Coordinator

Chris originally grew up in the Boston area, and came to Bristol in 2015 for college and stayed after graduating in 2021. Working for JHL for 3 years now, Chris has worked on everything from large adaptive reuse projects, to new single family construction.

James Dennis
Draftsman, Studio Manager

Mr. Dennis is an experienced designer and technician He is proficient in hand drafting, AutoCAD Revit, AutoCad Architectural Desktop, and 3D Studio Max to design plans, site studies, elevations, sections, detail drawings, schedules, and to create renderings and animations. He is competent in the use of Adobe Products such as InDesign and Photoshop to create professional images, renderings, and presentations.

Daniel Cusmano
Designer
Bristol, RI Office
Originally from Ledyard, CT, Daniel had earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in architecture from Roger Williams University by 2021. He moved back to Connecticut for a few years where he worked primarily residential renovation and new construction before ultimately returning to his home away from home here in Bristol. Daniel brings his experience and expertise in residential and historic preservation to the JHL team including a specialization in 3D modeling and rendering to help bring the projects we design to life.

Greg Spiess
Architect, Consultant

Mr. Spiess has a long history in architecture, having practiced in both his native Southern California, and southeast New England. With projects ranging from small houses and additions, to multi-million dollar schools, upscale hotels, and even the immensely successful "Hope on Main" food incubator in Warren, Mr. Spiess has an impressive resume and skillset that he brings to JHL Tecture.

Frederick Stachura
Preservationist, Consultant
Bristol, RI Office
Mr. Stachura has developed specific expertise in preservation law and planning, organizational development, community advocacy and preservation-based real estate development. He has represented individuals, developer, neighborhood associations, and non-profit organizations before zoning and historic preservation agencies, and state courts. His professional interests include Main Street/Smart Growth consultation, blue economy initiatives, preservation non-profit organizational facilitation, and building collaborative relationships.

Chris Wilson
Preservationist, Consultant
Bristol, RI Office
Chris has worked in multiple capacities within the field of historic preservation for municipalities conducting design review, preservation planning, assisting historic homeowners and commercial property interests with incentives as well as for state and other federal agencies. He has collaborated with multiple entities and provided conflict resolution for numerous projects.
